GENERAL TERMS OF USE
USING OUR PRODUCTS
Please carefully review product labels, warnings, and directions before use. We strongly recommend performing a patch test prior to applying any new product (see below).
If you have sensitive skin, pre-existing medical conditions, or are unsure about potential reactions, conduct a patch test to ensure compatibility. Discontinue use immediately if irritation or discomfort occurs.
If you have any underlying medical conditions, are currently on medication, or are uncertain about the suitability of a product for your skin type, we recommend consulting a qualified dermatologist before introducing any new product into your skincare routine.
All Compound products are intended for external use only.
By purchasing and using our products, you acknowledge that even products formulated with carefully selected ingredients may cause sensitivity in certain individuals. Compound shall not be held liable for any adverse reactions or sensitivities experienced.
Our products are cosmetic formulations and not medicines or pharmaceutical drugs. Any recommendations provided by Compound regarding product suitability are general in nature and should not be interpreted as medical advice or diagnosis. All such recommendations are made in good faith and are accepted at the user’s own risk.
Results may vary from person to person depending on factors including, but not limited to, skin type, medical history, lifestyle, diet, stress levels, environmental conditions, and the combination of products used.
PROPER STORAGE AND HANDLING
Please follow all instructions related to the storage and handling of our products.
Once opened, product stability may be affected by individual hygiene practices, storage conditions, and environmental exposure.
To maintain product integrity:
- Avoid direct contact between droppers/applicators and skin or other surfaces
- Prevent water or contaminants from entering the product container
Compound shall not be responsible for any damage or spoilage resulting from improper storage, handling, or usage after the product seal has been opened.
OUR QUALITY CONTROL PRACTICES
At Compound, we follow stringent quality control procedures at every stage of product development, including formulation, production, and post-production.
Each batch undergoes thorough testing before being released for sale. Additional testing may be conducted when necessary.
Our quality standards comply with applicable regulations and industry best practices to ensure product safety and consistency.
HOW TO PERFORM A PATCH TEST
Before using a product for the first time:
- Apply a small amount to clean skin on the inside of your elbow
- Cover the area and leave it undisturbed for 24 hours
- Check for any signs of irritation, redness, or discomfort
If no reaction occurs, the product is likely suitable for use. If irritation develops, discontinue use immediately.
Patch testing is especially recommended for individuals with sensitive skin or conditions such as eczema or psoriasis.
Please note that skin conditions can change over time due to factors such as diet, hormones, stress, lifestyle, and environmental exposure. A product that suited you previously may not always produce the same results.
WHAT IS SKIN PURGING?
Skin purging refers to a temporary increase in breakouts that may occur when introducing new active ingredients into your skincare routine. This happens as the skin accelerates its renewal process, bringing underlying impurities to the surface.
Common ingredients that may cause purging include:
- Vitamin C
- Retinoids
- Glycolic Acid
- Salicylic Acid
- Benzoyl Peroxide
Purging typically begins within 3 to 6 weeks of starting a new product and may resolve within 4 to 8 weeks.
If the condition persists beyond this period or worsens, it may not be purging, and you should consult a dermatologist.
To minimize purging:
- Introduce new products gradually
- Start with lower frequency and dosage
